Doug and Julie's wedding

The real purpose of our trip was to attend Doug and Julie's wedding. 

Since it's a long drive to eastern BC, we turned it into a driving trip of the NW.

 

The wedding was in Doug and Julie's backyard. 

It had been raining off and on over the previous days but the sun came out just in time.

Julie made the grandsons matching shirts and ties.

 Amelia was the flower girl.

 Julie's daughter was the maid of honor.

 One of Julie's sons walked her down the aisle.

 Babe followed right behind.

 Garth and Beth after the ceremony.

 Speeches after dinner.

 Dancing by all late into the night.

A fabulous time was had by all!

Bothell

Next we stopped in Bothell. 

The house that my parents built has been torn down,

 and the lot has been subdivided.

Our house was right about where the bulldozer is.

It was really sad to see the property look like strip mine.

 

Across the street where my girlfriend Donna lived, a huge apartment building is under construction.

 

 

Oregon Wine Country

We stopped in Portland. 

My brother took us on a wine tasting tour in the Willamette Valley.

Oregon-Washington-BC-Alberta trip

We started our North West driving trip with a stop at Crater Lake,

staying overnight at the newly renovated Lodge.
