Tucson

Sonora Desert Museum
The name is a bit of a misnomer because it's really a zoo in a desert landscape.

 Saguaro National Park

San Xavier del Bac
It had undergone a major restoration since we were there many years ago.

Old Town in Tucson.  They were having a historic re-creation day.
Except for the folding table, it's hard to tell what's in the old mural and what's real.

Trip to Arizona - Phoenix & Scottsdale

Here are some photos from our trip to Arizona in March and April.

There was a Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden.  Some of the glass works fit into the desert landscape and some seemed to be dropped in from outer space.

We also visited Frank Lloyd Wright's compound at Taliesen West.
There is still an architecture school there.

One of THE best museums that we have EVER visited is the Musical Instrument Museum.
It's relatively new and is located on the northern outskirts of Phoenix.  When you pay for your admission, you receive a headset which allows you to listen to the music and view videos of the instruments being played that are on display.  The museum has both instruments from all over the world and instruments owned by famous musicians.  Don't miss it if you are in Phoenix!

The is the piano that John Lennon used when he composed "Imagine."
We went to two Giants spring training games.
This one was at the Giants stadium in Scottsdale.
The other game was at the Brewers stadium.
The quality of the photos isn't very good since I was using my cell phone.
The Giants won both games - our jinx was over.
The Giants had lost the last few games that we attended at AT&T.
Go Giants!!!
