Florence is famous for its sand dunes - these were north of town.
A bit further north of Florence is the Heceta Lighthouse. This is the caretaker's cottage. The lighthouse was being restored - so no photos of it.

We had seen the movie 2001 just before our trip. This reminded us of the monolith at the beginning of the film.

We spent Greg's birthday with his cousins, Marilee and Michael, just east of Portland.
