We had some great weather while we were in Antarctica. Several times the lecturers on board said certain vistas were as clear as they had seen. It was still very cold, but not too windy (except for the first day). We had some snow but also a lot of sun.
If I remember correctly, this is one of the Argentinian stations. The black specks are penguins.
This is one of the "explorer" ships where the passengers are allowed to set foot on Antarctica. Of course, it costs many times more than our cruise to do that. We were very happy to sail through such beautiful territory.
This is a Chilean station.
Those are penguins surrounding the Chilean flag.
There's a seal swimming in the amazing blue water.
We saw lots of whales. This is as close as I got to taking a photo of one breaching.
Goodbye to Antarctica! Next we're going back across the Drake Passage.
It was quite calm going south but not so calm going north.
