Puerto Montt, Chile

Our last port stop on the cruise was Puerto Montt.  We had read that there wasn't much to see in the town, but that the nearby lake country was beautiful.  It was drizzly when we arrived but started clearing up as we drove up to the lakes.
The Osorno volcano summit played hide and seek with us all day.

Our first stop was Petrohue waterfalls.

Then we stopped for lunch at this resort which overlooked Lago Llanquihue
with the volcano in the distance.

Then we stopped at Puerto Varas which was on the lake.
It was originally settled by Germans so the buildings look a bit alpine.

Puerto Varas is also called the City of Roses - they were everywhere even in the street medians.

Back at Puerto Montt.
