The Kabuki Theater building
Sakura toilet paper
We went to a performance of the Kabuki theater. It lasted from 11 am until 3:45 pm, so it is traditional to have a bento box lunch during one of the intermissions. They also make a special dessert (below) which is a fish shaped pastry that you can only get at the theater. We weren't sure that we would last for the entire performance but it was an amazing spectacle. Before the performance, we had a lecture about the history of Kabuki and what plays we would see that day. We also had hand held translation devices so we knew what was going on.
